Slutty costumes very uncreative

It was that time of year again: time to pull on those 4-inch stilettos, a pair of electric fishnets and a tight, low-cut excuse for a shirt. Good thing you invested in that push-up bra. It's the one day out of all 365 of them where it's ok to wear something a little more provocative.

You can get a sexy version of just about any costume you want, be it a nurse or even a nun. It's something people look forward to and spend a lot of money on. Somehow, there's a lot of planning involved with wearing less clothing.

But women aren't the only ones who wear less clothing during Halloween, although they're certainly the majority. It's an excuse for men to walk around without their shirts on or pull on some tighter pants.

Where's the creativity anymore? Colleges are abundant with people wearing clothing that barely covers them. All you have to do is drop $100 over the Internet, have the costume shipped to you house and throw it on. Is it worth it?

People go out into public in these costumes and probably don't realize that someone somewhere has incriminating evidence of them. And it's probably on Facebook, which can now be searched on Google, which is a tactic employers use when hiring people. They really do this.

So is it worth it? These costumes are expensive and you only wear them for one night. Honestly, when are you going to wear it ever again? Wearing the same costume the next year is against Halloween rules, everyone knows that. Plus, isn't it cold out?

People, or should I say students, look forward to Halloween and dress in slutty costumes because it is the only day out of the whole year you can get away with it. Somehow it's justified and even cheered on as it is becoming more and more of a social norm and has become an extension of the Halloween tradition.

My guess is, we'll probably be seeing more and more of these scantily clad costumes as we go because it's become acceptable to go out in public like that. Why it has become so popular is beyond me, but it continues and probably soon enough, the ten-year olds aren't going to be able to avoid it. And that's what really scares me about Halloween.
