The end of a busy semester

It's been a short semester. I can not believe it is almost over.
It has been a very interesting and exciting semester. I have met amazing people in and out of the classroom and it has made me a better student and person.
The past semester I have really focused on student publications and grades and sometimes I wish I could have been less busy, but if that would of happened I would not have received the amazing opportunities I have received in the past semester. I love my life to the fullest, especially when I have my whole day planned ahead. People may think I'm crazy, but my days are planned in advance because I feel the need to know what I have to do every hour of the day. Not only does this organize me, but it allows me to have time management, especially as a reporter.
Working for the Daily Eastern News and for Pounce has been great. I am so thankful for the opportunity to take on responsibility of such great positions. Everyday I learn something new. Whether it be in the classroom, at an interview, or from a peer, I have definitely taken it to heart and mind in order to remember and fulfill the learning experience.
Being apart of the Alpha Sigma Tau sorority is another wonderful obligation I have been involved in. This has not only given me the strength to work into the newsroom, but my sisters support me in whatever I do. It is amazing what a group of girls can do and make you feel after you have accomplished something.
Yes, I look forward to the summer, however, give it a month and I will want to come back to Eastern! I will miss the DEN news staff, pounce staff, classmates, and last but not least my sorority. This semester was full of hard work and when I least expect it, it will pay off.
